Moulsham Learning Centre

New built learning centre extension to the existing late Victorian teaching block part of Moulsham High School in Chelmsford, Essex. A planning requirement was that the design had to be congruent to the existing campus buildings, which led to the adoption and use of double pitched/ hipped and clay tiled roofs. The construction and components chosen were based on a structural timber glulam design, which internally was partially exposed for educational purposes and to create welcoming spaces. Part of the project was also the construction of a library extension and refurbishment of the existing library.

This project was designed and delivered during employment at Stanley Bragg Architects, Colchester, UK.
